Ask your AI what people on Threads are saying about a topic.

Public Threads data — post details, user profiles, keyword post search and the posts an account has published — answered inside Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor. No Meta developer app or scraping setup of your own: each call is quoted before it runs and paid from one toolfare balance.

1Connect your AI app

Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.

Add toolfare as a connector in Claude

Add to Claude
https://api.toolfare.ai/mcp
  1. 1Open Customize → Connectors and choose "Add custom connector".
  2. 2Paste this URL as the remote MCP server URL.
  3. 3Leave the OAuth client id and secret under Advanced settings empty.
  4. 4Complete the browser authorization, then return to your conversation.

Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A Free account may hold one custom connector in total.

2What to ask

Copy a prompt into your AI app once you’re connected. It picks the right one of the 4 tools and tells you the price first.

  • Everything public about one post

    From $0.006

    Details of a post

    • “What does this Threads post say, and how much engagement did it get?”
    • “Here’s a Threads link — summarise it.”
  • An account’s public profile

    From $0.006

    Public profile of a user

    • “Pull the public Threads profile of @zuck.”
    • “How big is this brand’s Threads account?”
  • Posts on any keyword

    From $0.006

    Posts matching a keyword

    • “What are people on Threads saying about our new feature?”
    • “Find Threads posts that mention our competitor.”
  • What an account has been posting

    From $0.006

    Posts published by a user

    • “What has this account posted on Threads recently?”
    • “Summarise this creator’s latest Threads posts.”

Use it when

  • You want public reaction on Threads to a launch, feature or news story.
  • You want an account’s public profile and recent posts on Threads.
  • You are comparing how a topic plays on Threads with how it plays on X.

Look elsewhere when

  • You want X (Twitter) rather than Threads. Use this instead
  • You want Instagram posts, reels or profiles. Use this instead
  • You want to post or reply, or you need private data. These tools only read public data.

Threads Data directly, or through toolfare

Directly

  • A Meta developer app and its review process
  • Or your own collection setup, or a contract with a data vendor, with its own key and invoice
  • Your own code to call the API and parse the responses

Through toolfare

  • Pay per call, quoted before it runs, on the same balance as every other source
  • No Meta developer app and no key to hand to an agent
  • Threads beside X, Instagram and web search in the same question

toolfare doesn’t add analysis, monitoring or history of its own — you get the public data each call returns, and your AI does the summarising.

Limits

  • Public data only — nothing that requires being signed in to Threads.
  • An account’s posts are looked up by numeric user id, not by username; the profile lookup takes the username.
  • Keyword search takes a keyword only — there are no sort or date filters.
  • Each call is a snapshot at the moment it runs, with no history of past values.
  • Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.

Questions

No. The data is Threads’ public data, collected through a third-party provider. toolfare is not affiliated with or endorsed by Threads or Meta.

No. You sign in to toolfare, not to Threads, and toolfare holds the provider account. You pay per call from a prepaid balance.

Each tool’s current price is shown on this page and quoted before the call runs.

Yes. Create an API key in the toolfare console and call the tools over HTTP, or script them with the toolfare CLI. In Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex, connect the MCP server instead.
