Data toolfare buys · quoted first

Ask your AI to read a competitor’s site, page by page.

Any page read with a real browser and returned as clean markdown, a site crawled page by page up to a hundred pages, and search results with their content already fetched — answered inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor. No Firecrawl plan or API key of your own: toolfare makes each call and quotes it first.

1Connect your AI app

Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.

Add toolfare as a connector in Claude

Add to Claude
https://api.toolfare.ai/mcp
  1. 1Open Customize → Connectors and choose "Add custom connector".
  2. 2Paste this URL as the remote MCP server URL.
  3. 3Leave the OAuth client id and secret under Advanced settings empty.
  4. 4Complete the browser authorization, then return to your conversation.

Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A Free account may hold one custom connector in total.

2What to ask

Copy a prompt into your AI app once you’re connected. It picks the right one of the 4 tools and tells you the price first.

  • One page, rendered and cleaned

Fetches a URL with a real browser and returns its content as markdown, HTML or structured fields — so it works on pages a plain fetch returns empty.

    • “Scrape this competitor’s pricing page into markdown.”
    • “Pull the plan names and prices out of this page.”
  • A whole site, page by page

Follows links from a starting URL across a site and collects up to a hundred pages of content. It runs as a job; your AI reads the pages back when the crawl is done.

    • “Crawl this documentation site.”
    • “Get the pages under this competitor’s blog, up to a hundred of them.”
  • Search results with their content

Runs a web search and scrapes the results in the same request, so the answer comes back as content rather than links.

    • “Search for MCP marketing tools and read their pages.”
    • “Find reviews of this product and pull what they say.”

Also available: Read the pages a crawl has collected

Use it when

  • You need the readable text of a page, including ones that render in the browser.
  • You need many or all pages of a site, not one.
  • You want structured fields pulled out of a page.

Look elsewhere when

  • You only want a page’s text and nothing more. A lighter reader does that for less. Use this instead
  • You want a picture of the page rather than its text. Use this instead
  • You want Google’s own results page, ads and features. Use this instead

Firecrawl directly, or through toolfare

Directly

  • A Firecrawl plan sized to a monthly credit allowance
  • An API key of your own to hand to an agent
  • Your own code to start crawls and collect them

Through toolfare

  • Per call, quoted before it runs, on the same balance as everything else
  • No Firecrawl plan and no key to hand to an agent
  • Web content beside the rest of your research in the same question

You get scrape, crawl and search on demand, not Firecrawl’s full product — no scheduled crawls, no change tracking and no dashboard of past jobs.

Limits

  • A crawl is not instant: the first call starts it, and the pages are collected afterwards.
  • One crawl collects at most a hundred pages; a larger site needs several, started from different sections.
  • Pages behind a login, or that block automated browsers, may come back empty.
  • Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
