Ask your AI who owns the results page — ads, answers and all.
A real search results page from Google, Bing, YouTube, Amazon, Maps and more — organic positions, ads, People Also Ask, knowledge panels and local packs, for the country and language you name — answered inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor. No SerpApi plan or key of your own: toolfare runs each search and quotes it first.
1Connect your AI app
Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.
Add toolfare as a connector in Claude
Add to Claudehttps://api.toolfare.ai/mcp
- 1Open Customize → Connectors and choose "Add custom connector".
- 2Paste this URL as the remote MCP server URL.
- 3Leave the OAuth client id and secret under Advanced settings empty.
- 4Complete the browser authorization, then return to your conversation.
Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A Free account may hold one custom connector in total.
Claude’s own instructions2What to ask
Copy a prompt into your AI app once you’re connected. It picks the right one of the 1 tools and tells you the price first.
The whole results page, as data
Runs a query on Google — or Bing, YouTube, Amazon, Maps and others — and returns the page as structured data: organic results with positions, ads, knowledge panels, People Also Ask and local packs.
- “What ranks on Google for marketing automation?”
- “Get the results page for this keyword in Japan.”
- “Which competitors are running search ads on our company name?”
1Create an API key
One key and one endpoint for every API on toolfare.
export TOOLFARE_API_KEY='tf_live_…'
2Every tool and its input
Send the tool name and its arguments as JSON; the reply is JSON too.
serpapi_searchRuns a query on Google — or Bing, YouTube, Amazon, Maps and others — and returns the page as structured data: organic results with positions, ads, knowledge panels, People Also Ask and local packs.
Use it when
- You need to know what actually ranks for a keyword, in position order.
- You want the results-page features — ads, People Also Ask, a knowledge panel — not just the links.
- You are checking rankings from a specific country or language.
Look elsewhere when
- You want results by meaning rather than what Google ranks. That is a neural web search. Use this instead
- You want the pages’ content rather than the results that point to them. Use this instead
- You want your own site’s search data. Search Console is free and more accurate for your own site. Use this instead
SerpApi directly, or through toolfare
Directly
- A SerpApi plan sized to a monthly search allowance
- An API key of your own to hand to an agent
- A monthly bill that does not move when your usage does
Through toolfare
- Per search, quoted before it runs, on the same balance as everything else
- No SerpApi plan and no key to hand to an agent
- Reachable from any MCP client, in the chat you are already in
You get searches on demand, not rank tracking. Nothing watches a keyword for you, there is no history of past results, and every check is a new charged search.
Limits
- Each call is one results page for one query; checking many keywords is many searches.
- Results reflect the moment of the search and the location you asked for.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
