Ask your AI what people on Xiaohongshu are saying about a product.
Public Xiaohongshu (RedNote) data — note details, comments, creator profiles, a creator’s notes, and keyword search across notes and users — answered inside Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor. No Xiaohongshu developer account or scraping setup of your own: each call is quoted before it runs and paid from one toolfare balance.
1Connect your AI app
Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.

Use it when
- You want to know what Xiaohongshu users say about a product, brand or place before a launch or campaign.
- You are shortlisting creators (KOLs/KOCs) and want their public profiles and recent notes side by side.
- You need the comments under a specific note — feedback, complaints, questions — summarised rather than scrolled.
- You are tracking which notes on a keyword get the most collects, comments or engagement, or what was posted most recently.
Look elsewhere when
- You want short-video data from Douyin rather than Xiaohongshu notes. Use this instead
- You need private data — messages, follower lists of an account you don’t control, or anything behind a login. Only public data is available.
- You want to post, reply or like. These tools only read.
Xiaohongshu Data directly, or through toolfare
Directly
- Your own collection setup — headless browsers, proxies and upkeep every time the pages change
- Or a contract with a data vendor, with its own key and invoice
- Your own code to page through results and parse the responses
Through toolfare
- Pay per call, quoted before it runs, on the same balance as every other source
- No vendor account and no key to hand to an agent
- Xiaohongshu beside Douyin, Weibo, Bilibili and web search in the same question
toolfare doesn’t add analysis, monitoring or history of its own — you get the public data each call returns, and your AI does the summarising.
Limits
- Public data only — nothing that requires being signed in to Xiaohongshu.
- Note and user lookups take a 24-character id or a share link; keyword search is the way in when you have neither.
- Results come a page at a time; the agent passes the cursor or search id from the previous response to go further.
- Each call is a snapshot at the moment it runs. There is no historical archive of how a note’s numbers changed.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
Questions
No. The data is Xiaohongshu’s public data, collected through a third-party provider. toolfare is not affiliated with or endorsed by Xiaohongshu.
No. You sign in to toolfare, not to Xiaohongshu, and toolfare holds the provider account. You pay per call from a prepaid balance.
Each tool’s current price is shown on this page and quoted before the call runs.
Yes. Create an API key in the toolfare console and call the tools over HTTP, or script them with the toolfare CLI. In Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex, connect the MCP server instead.
Each call looks the data up when it runs, so engagement numbers are a snapshot from that moment. There is no published freshness guarantee.
