Limits

  • Public data only — nothing that requires being signed in to Douyin.
  • Different lookups take different ids: the profile takes a numeric uid, a creator’s videos take a sec_uid, and a video takes its numeric aweme_id. Keyword search is the way in when you have none of them.
  • Results come a page at a time; the agent passes the cursor from the previous response to go further.
  • Each call is a snapshot at the moment it runs. There is no historical archive of how a video’s numbers changed.
  • Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
