Ask your AI what is ranking on YouTube for a topic, and what a channel has published.
Keyword search across YouTube videos, sorted by relevance, date, views or rating; the details of any video; and the videos a channel has published — asked from Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor. No Google Cloud project, API key or daily quota of your own: each call is quoted before it runs and paid from one toolfare balance.
1Connect your AI app
Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.
Add toolfare as a connector in Claude
Add to Claudehttps://api.toolfare.ai/mcp

- 2Paste this URL as the remote MCP server URL.
- 3Leave the OAuth client id and secret under Advanced settings empty.
- 4Complete the browser authorization, then return to your conversation.
Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A Free account may hold one custom connector in total.

Use it when
- You are researching video SEO: which videos and channels rank for a keyword.
- You want to see what a competitor’s channel has been publishing.
- You are shortlisting YouTube creators in a niche for sponsorships.
- You have a video link and want its details without leaving the chat.
Look elsewhere when
- You need a video’s comments, captions or transcript. None of these tools return them.
- You want short-video data from TikTok instead. Use this instead
- You want Google web results for the same keyword, not YouTube results. Use this instead
YouTube Data directly, or through toolfare
Directly
- A Google Cloud project, an enabled YouTube Data API and an API key
- A daily quota to budget, with search calls costing more of it than lookups
- Your own code to page through results and join channels to videos
Through toolfare
- Pay per call, quoted before it runs — no quota to plan around
- No Google Cloud project and no key to hand to an agent
- YouTube beside Instagram, TikTok and Google search results in the same question
This is four public lookups, not the whole YouTube Data API: no comments, captions, playlists or analytics for your own channel. If those matter, use Google’s API directly.
Limits
- Public videos and channels only.
- Channel uploads take a channel id starting with UC; resolve a channel URL first if you only have the link.
- Video details take the 11-character video id, not a full URL.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
