Ask your AI what last night’s service actually took in.
Orders and checks for any business day, a single order down to its line items, payments with tips and card types, and refunds — across every location you connected, answered inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor. Connect Toast to toolfare once; your AI reads it with your own credentials, and every read is free.
1Connect your AI app
Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.
Add toolfare as a connector in Claude
Add to Claudehttps://api.toolfare.ai/mcp
- 1Open Customize → Connectors and choose "Add custom connector".
- 2Paste this URL as the remote MCP server URL.
- 3Leave the OAuth client id and secret under Advanced settings empty.
- 4Complete the browser authorization, then return to your conversation.
Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A Free account may hold one custom connector in total.
Claude’s own instructions2What to ask
Copy a prompt into your AI app once you’re connected. It picks the right one of the 6 tools and tells you the price first.
Orders for a business day
Order summaries for a business day or time range — opened, paid and closed times, dining option, voids, and each order’s check total.
- “How many orders did the downtown location do last Friday?”
- “How many orders were voided yesterday?”
One order, down to the line items
The full order: every check with its items, discounts, service charges and payments.
- “What was ordered on this ticket, and what discounts were applied?”
- “Show me the line items for our largest order last night.”
Checks, with tax and tips
Check-level rows across a day’s orders, for split-check analysis and per-check totals, tax and tips.
- “What was the average check size on Saturday?”
- “How much did we collect in tips across all checks yesterday?”
Payments, by type and card
Payments taken on a business day with type, amount, tip, card type, status and refund status.
- “How much of yesterday’s revenue was cash versus card?”
- “List payments over $200 from last night.”
What was refunded, and when
Payments refunded on a given business day, with the original payment date alongside the refund date.
- “What did we refund yesterday?”
- “Were any refunds this week for payments from last weekend?”

toast_list_restaurantsYour locations, with time zone and closeout hour
Use it when
- You want last night’s or last week’s sales without logging into Toast.
- You are checking check size, tips or voids across locations.
- You want restaurant revenue next to the local campaigns that were running.
Look elsewhere when
- You want delivery-app orders. DoorDash and Uber Eats are separate connections.
- You want to change a menu, an order or a payment. The connection is read-only.
Toast directly, or through toolfare
Directly
- Toast Web reports and exports
- A partner or restaurant API credential of your own
- Your own code to turn business days into dates
Through toolfare
- Ask in the chat you already use, in plain English
- One toolfare login; no Toast credential handed to an agent
- Restaurant sales beside your local campaigns in the same question
You get sales reads, not Toast Web. There is no menu, labour or inventory data, nothing can be changed through the MCP connection, and nothing is monitored for you between questions.
Limits
- Dates are each restaurant’s local business day, bounded by its closeout hour, so “today” depends on the location and a late-night day crosses midnight.
- Payment and refund reads fetch each payment individually and are bounded by a limit; a busy day may come back marked truncated.
- No menu data is available through this connection.
