Ask your AI which campaign actually brought in revenue.
Balance, customers, invoices, subscriptions and payments, read live from your Stripe account through Stripe’s own MCP — answered inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor, next to the campaigns that acquired those customers. Connect Stripe to toolfare once; your AI reads it with your own login, and every read is free.
1Connect your AI app
Pick the app you use. You do this once, and every API on toolfare is then available in it.
Add toolfare as a connector in Claude
Add to Claudehttps://api.toolfare.ai/mcp
- 1Open Customize → Connectors and choose "Add custom connector".
- 2Paste this URL as the remote MCP server URL.
- 3Leave the OAuth client id and secret under Advanced settings empty.
- 4Complete the browser authorization, then return to your conversation.
Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. A Free account may hold one custom connector in total.
Claude’s own instructions2What to ask
Copy a prompt into your AI app once you’re connected. It picks the right one of the 3 tools and tells you the price first.
Balance, customers, invoices and subscriptions, live
Runs a read tool from Stripe’s hosted MCP against your account — the Stripe API’s GET endpoints for balance, customers, invoices, subscriptions and payment intents among them. Only allowlisted reads run; nothing is written.
- “How many new subscriptions did we get last week?”
- “What is our current Stripe balance?”
- “List invoices that are past due.”
What your AI is allowed to ask Stripe
Stripe’s live MCP tool catalogue for your account, each tool marked as a read that runs or a change that would need review.
- “Which Stripe tools can you use through toolfare?”
- “Can you read refunds from our Stripe account?”
The Stripe accounts your toolfare account can read
The connected accounts, so a question lands on the right one when you run more than one.
- “Which Stripe accounts are connected?”
- “Use our EU Stripe account for this.”
1Create an API key
One key and one endpoint for every API on toolfare.
export TOOLFARE_API_KEY='tf_live_…'
2Every tool and its input
Send the tool name and its arguments as JSON; the reply is JSON too.

Use it when
- You want revenue, subscriptions or churn next to the campaigns that acquired those customers.
- You want to look up a customer, an invoice or a payment mid-conversation.
- You want a billing number from Stripe itself rather than a dashboard copy of it.
Look elsewhere when
- You want to refund a payment, create a payment link or change a subscription. Those need review and are not available through the MCP connection.
- You want what happened in the product before someone paid. That is your product analytics. Use this instead
Stripe directly, or through toolfare
Directly
- The Stripe Dashboard and Sigma
- A restricted API key of your own
- Your own code to put revenue next to ad spend
Through toolfare
- Ask in the chat you already use, in plain English
- One toolfare login; no Stripe key handed to an agent
- Stripe beside your ad accounts and analytics in the same question
You get reads, not the Stripe Dashboard. Refunds, payment links and every other change are out of reach through the MCP connection, and there is no saved report or alert — every answer is a fresh question.
Limits
- Reads are live from Stripe — there is no synced copy — so a wide question can take several calls and is subject to Stripe’s rate limits.
- Only allowlisted read tools run; anything else is reported as needing review, and review is not reachable through the MCP connection.
- Only accounts you connected are readable.
