# Search Results through toolfare

> Google’s organic search results for any keyword, set to the location and language you choose — asked from Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor. No SERP API plan or key of your own: each search is quoted before it runs and paid from your toolfare balance.

## Use it from your agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent with a shell:

> Set up https://toolfare.ai/skill.md, then use toolfare to show me the top 10 Google results for “payroll software” in London and tell me which ones are comparison sites

Apps without a terminal connect toolfare as an MCP server: https://toolfare.ai/docs#connect

## Use it from a script

```sh
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
curl -fsSL 'https://toolfare.ai/toolfare/toolfare.mjs' -o ~/.local/bin/toolfare
chmod +x ~/.local/bin/toolfare
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
export TOOLFARE_MCP_URL='https://api.toolfare.ai/mcp'
toolfare login
```

Sign in once per machine; the CLI renews the sign-in itself. On a CI runner or another server,
create an API key in the toolfare console and set it as `TOOLFARE_API_KEY` instead of signing in.
Paid calls on one sign-in or key run one at a time. `--max-cost` refuses a call quoted above
that many credits (1,000 credits = $3).

## Tools

### Who ranks on Google for a keyword

Tool: `serp_google_organic`

Google organic search results for a keyword

Required parameters: keyword

Optional parameters: language, limit, location

Cost: From $0.006

Ask:
- Who ranks on Google for “best project management software” in the US?
- Where do we rank for “invoice template” in Germany, in German?
- Show me the top 20 results for “crm for small business” in Sydney.
## Price

From $0.006 Quoted before each call; the final charge follows the returned usage. Pay per call from one balance.

Balances and top-ups are in US dollars. Quotes and `--max-cost` count credits: 1,000 credits = $3 ($0.003 each).

## Use it when

- You are checking where you or a competitor rank for a keyword.
- You are planning content and want to see what already ranks, and what kind of page wins.
- You need results for a particular country, city or language, not just your own location.

## Look elsewhere when

- You want the content of the pages that rank, not just the list.
- You want keyword volumes, backlinks or a domain’s full ranking history.
- You want a direct answer with sources rather than a results page.

## Limits

- Google organic results only — no ads, maps or other search engines.
- Keywords cannot contain colons, so search operators such as site: are not supported.
- Location is a place name with up to five comma-separated parts, broadest last (for example “London, England, United Kingdom”); the default is the United States in English.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
