# PageSpeed Insights through toolfare

> Google Lighthouse scores for performance, accessibility, SEO and best practices, plus real-user Core Web Vitals — LCP, INP and CLS — where Google has field data for the page, answered inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor. No Google Cloud project or key of your own: toolfare runs each audit through the same connection.

Page: https://toolfare.ai/pagespeed-insights

## Use it from your agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent with a shell:

> Set up https://toolfare.ai/skill.md, then use toolfare to answer: Why is this landing page slow?

Apps without a terminal connect toolfare as an MCP server: https://toolfare.ai/docs#connect

## Use it from a script

```sh
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
curl -fsSL 'https://toolfare.ai/toolfare/toolfare.mjs' -o ~/.local/bin/toolfare
chmod +x ~/.local/bin/toolfare
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
export TOOLFARE_MCP_URL='https://api.toolfare.ai/mcp'
toolfare login
```

Sign in once per machine; the CLI renews the sign-in itself. On a CI runner or another server, create an API key in the toolfare console and set it as `TOOLFARE_API_KEY` instead of signing in. Paid calls on one sign-in or key run one at a time. `--max-cost` refuses a call quoted above that many credits (1,000 credits = $3).

## Tools

### Lighthouse scores and Core Web Vitals

Tool: `google_pagespeed_run`

Runs Lighthouse against a public URL for performance, accessibility, SEO and best-practices scores, and adds field LCP, INP and CLS where Google has real-user data for it.

Ask:
- Why is this landing page slow?
- Check the Core Web Vitals for our homepage.
- Run a Lighthouse audit on our pricing page and tell me what to fix first.

## Price

Quoted to your AI before the audit runs — and the quote is zero, because PageSpeed Insights is free at Google. toolfare pays Google nothing for an audit, so an audit is free. The key only raises Google’s rate limits. Free is the vendor’s price, not an exemption from the rule: if Google ever charged, the charge would come through the same quote.

Balances and top-ups are in US dollars. Quotes and `--max-cost` count credits: 1,000 credits = $3 ($0.003 each).

## Use it when

- Someone asks why a page is slow, or what to fix first.
- You need Core Web Vitals for a landing page before or after a change.
- You want an SEO or accessibility audit of a single page.

## Look elsewhere when

- The page is not publicly reachable. Google fetches it itself, so a staging URL behind a login cannot be measured.
- You want the site’s search rankings or traffic rather than its speed.

## Limits

- Public URLs only.
- Field Core Web Vitals appear only where Google has enough real-user data for the page; otherwise you get the lab scores alone.
- A single audit is a single run — scores move between runs, so compare like with like.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
