# Dubbing through toolfare

> Send a video or audio URL and a target language, and the dubbing tool re-speaks that clip in the new language — up to 60 seconds per call, from any start point. Ask from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or your own code; the result is a task the agent collects with `get_result`. No dubbing-platform account of your own, quoted before each call.

## Use it from your agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent with a shell:

> Set up https://toolfare.ai/skill.md, then use toolfare to dub the first 45 seconds of the product video at this URL into Spanish, and tell me the price before you start

Apps without a terminal connect toolfare as an MCP server: https://toolfare.ai/docs#connect

## Use it from a script

```sh
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
curl -fsSL 'https://toolfare.ai/toolfare/toolfare.mjs' -o ~/.local/bin/toolfare
chmod +x ~/.local/bin/toolfare
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
export TOOLFARE_MCP_URL='https://api.toolfare.ai/mcp'
toolfare login
```

Sign in once per machine; the CLI renews the sign-in itself. On a CI runner or another server,
create an API key in the toolfare console and set it as `TOOLFARE_API_KEY` instead of signing in.
Paid calls on one sign-in or key run one at a time. `--max-cost` refuses a call quoted above
that many credits (1,000 credits = $3).

## Tools

### A clip, in another language

Tool: `dubbing_dubs`

Dub a video or audio clip into another language

Required parameters: source_url, target_language

Optional parameters: end_seconds, source_language, speakers, start_seconds

Cost: From $1.5

Ask:
- Dub this 30-second product video into Japanese.
- Dub the first minute of this podcast clip into English.
- Translate and dub this two-speaker interview into German.
## Price

From $1.5 Quoted before each call; the final charge follows the returned usage. Pay per call from one balance.

Balances and top-ups are in US dollars. Quotes and `--max-cost` count credits: 1,000 credits = $3 ($0.003 each).

## Use it when

- You want a short video or ad in another language without re-recording it.
- You are testing a clip in a new market before paying for a full localisation.
- You have a short audio clip and need it spoken in another language.

## Look elsewhere when

- You only need the words as text.
- You have a script, not a recording, and want it spoken.
- You want the same language in a different voice.

## Limits

- Each call dubs at most 60 seconds, set with `start_seconds` and `end_seconds`; longer media takes several calls.
- Asynchronous: the call returns a task, and the dubbed clip is collected with `get_result`.
- The source is a URL to the video or audio; the source language is detected automatically unless you pass a code.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
