# Avatar Video through toolfare

> A talking-avatar video rendered from a script the avatar speaks, or from your own voice track that the avatar lip-syncs, in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1 — asked from Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or your own script. No avatar-platform account or key of your own: toolfare quotes each render before it runs and charges one balance, and the video arrives as a task your agent collects with get_result.

## Use it from your agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent with a shell:

> Set up https://toolfare.ai/skill.md, then use toolfare to pick a presenter from the avatar list and make a 9:16 video of them saying “Our spring collection is live — free shipping this week”, telling me the price first and collecting the video when it is ready

Apps without a terminal connect toolfare as an MCP server: https://toolfare.ai/docs#connect

## Use it from a script

```sh
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
curl -fsSL 'https://toolfare.ai/toolfare/toolfare.mjs' -o ~/.local/bin/toolfare
chmod +x ~/.local/bin/toolfare
export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
export TOOLFARE_MCP_URL='https://api.toolfare.ai/mcp'
toolfare login
```

Sign in once per machine; the CLI renews the sign-in itself. On a CI runner or another server,
create an API key in the toolfare console and set it as `TOOLFARE_API_KEY` instead of signing in.
Paid calls on one sign-in or key run one at a time. `--max-cost` refuses a call quoted above
that many credits (1,000 credits = $3).

## Tools

### An avatar says your script, or lip-syncs your audio

Tool: `avatar_video`

An avatar lip-syncs an audio track

Required parameters: avatar, model

Optional parameters: aspect_ratio, audio_url, prompt, seconds

Cost: From $2.97

Ask:
- Make a 9:16 video of this avatar reading our product announcement.
- Have the avatar lip-sync this voice-over I recorded.
- Turn this FAQ answer into a short talking-head clip for our help centre.
## Price

From $2.97 Quoted before each call; the final charge follows the returned usage. Pay per call from one balance.

Balances and top-ups are in US dollars. Quotes and `--max-cost` count credits: 1,000 credits = $3 ($0.003 each).

## Use it when

- You need a spokesperson or UGC-style talking-head ad without filming anyone.
- You have a script and want it delivered on camera in several aspect ratios.
- You already have a voice-over and want a presenter to match it.
- You want explainer, onboarding or help-centre clips made from text.

## Look elsewhere when

- You only need to see which avatars exist and get their IDs.
- You want the person in your own footage to lip-sync a new track.
- You have a product page and want the whole ad written for you.

## Limits

- Needs an avatar ID; list the available avatars with the Avatars source first.
- Asynchronous: each render returns a task, collected with get_result once it has finished.
- The script is passed as text and a voice track as a URL; aspect ratios are 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1.
- Pay as you go from your toolfare balance, in US dollars; there is no subscription. A call runs when your balance covers its quote.
